If a person falls in a nursing home, does anyone hear?

We all hope that a nursing home will be an enjoyable place where we play cards and chat with friends while someone else reminds us to take our medicine, helps us get around and serves us three square meals a day. That should be the case. Even when our health fails and game playing becomes less likely, we should still count on the assistance we need. However, sometimes this doesn’t happen the way we intend it. We all want to make sure that our loved ones are taken care of correctly.

That may not have been the case for a man in a Chicago nursing home. His estate’s independent administrator is now suing the facility as well as another associated company for the inadequate supervision that would have prevented a fall that allegedly led to his demise. The man was a patient at the home when he fell. He suffered from pain and pressure ulcers, all of which are thought to have caused or contributed to the aging man’s death.

If you have been injured in a nursing home, or if you’ve lost a loved one or seen a loved one injured due to a failing in the nursing home’s standard of care, you may be owed compensation. By consulting a New York personal injury attorney, you can discuss your case and the factors that resulted in the hardship and what compensation you may be owed. No one should suffer from nursing home injuries that were preventable.
